FREE Easter Holiday Activities at Museum on the Mound

As part of Edinburgh Science Festival, we’re putting money ‘under the microscope’.

Two exciting workshops will reveal some of the extraordinary secrets buried in our pockets.

  • Discover the materials and methods used to make our money.
  • Use magnifiers, money-checkers and scanners to explore the features of our currency.
  • Learn how to detect counterfeit coins and banknotes.
  • Handle rarely seen specimens from Bank of Scotland and the Royal Mint.

Suitable for age: 8 - adult
